Banderas Bay is famous worldwide for it's consistent daily thermals during the sailing season. For WesMex, we use the a racing area that takes advantage of those excellent conditions.
Generally, courses are established starting just north of the entrance to Nuevo Vallarta and the usable area extends as far north as Bucerius. The rule of thumb is that average wind strengh increases forther north in this area.
For events with a number of different classes, as many as three separate racing courses can be set up within the area shown in the image below.
