Welcome to the WesMex International Regatta!

On behalf of the Vallarta Yacht Club (VYC), we are deeply honored to extend a warm welcome to Banderas Bay and the Riviera Nayarit to celebrate the 20th edition of the WesMex Small Boat International Regatta, the perfect natural setting for world-class sailing.

WesMex will be March 4 - 9, 2026

For the first time, WESMEX will be held during Nayarit Sailing Week. This consolidates the Riviera Nayarit as the undisputed home of sailing, while also strengthening the national sport by bringing together the great champions of youth and ocean sailing.

As proud hosts, we invite you to participate in the WesMex Small Boat International Regatta, one of our flagship events, established as one of the most important youth sailing championships on the continent and a true breeding ground for champions. The event brings together the best of youth sailing with classes such as Optimist, ILCA (4, 6, 7), Techno 293, IQ Foil, and J70.

In addition, WesMex is a key competition that serves as a qualifying event for world-class championships, including the Optimist North Americans, the Optimist World Championship, and the ILCA Youth World Championships.

We are ready to offer high-level competition combined with unique social experiences in a privileged setting on the Mexican Pacific coast. May the wind be in your favor!
